We select plant materials that grow naturally in the area because they are more likely to thrive, require less water and aesthetically fit into the botanical character of the region. By design, there is no need for fences in Abito communities. Strategically positioned plant materials, wall screens and architectural design address the relationship of one home to another. Plantings also play an important part in effective surface water management, reducing the likelihood of flooding or pooling of water while lightening the load on storm drains or dry wells in the community.
